Donate to a Brick and Mortar Location
Neighborhood Climbing Club was founded to lower the barriers to climbing and strengthen our local community through shared experience, learning, and mutual support. Until now we’ve done that wherever we could find wall space—parks, borrowed gyms, pop-up clinics. But the demand for consistent, high-quality training and community programming has outgrown these temporary solutions. It’s time for a permanent home.
What the Modesto facility will offer
Tension Board 2 for systematic, progression-based training
Versatile spray walls that adapt to every ability level
Welcoming gathering areas for workshops, movie nights, and club meetings
Structured instruction in movement skills, route setting, and safety
Organized outdoor trips that introduce members and the wider community to local crags
Why we need your input
Opening a member-driven space means building a budget by asking the people who will use it. The short survey below lets you tell us:
What you could commit to each month as a sustaining member
What you might contribute up front to cover build-out and initial equipment costs
Your responses will dictate the scale of the project, pricing tiers, and our launch timeline. No commitment is made today; we’re simply gathering real numbers to shape a realistic, community-owned plan.
If you believe Modesto should have an affordable, inclusive climbing hub, please take a few minutes to complete the survey. Your voice—along with every other response—moves this vision from idea to reality.
